Aaron “Lando” Landes: Co-Owner/Coach/The Sheriff
Lando sees tasks not in terms of how hard will it be to accomplish but rather how fast and perfectly can it be done. If you are looking for someone to lead you with confidence, you have found that person in Lando. Tall, kind of lanky, very physically awkward, but don’t let his initial intimidating appearance fool you. When the bandana comes off and the tattoos get covered up, when it comes down to brass tacs, Lando is a calm and inviting individual who just wants the best for all people. His goal is simply to help people achieve the best in themselves, first by leading them to the realization of what that is, then pushing them to it and beyond.
Once a below average college baseball player, Lando rose through the ranks of collegiate baseball coaching only to realize his passions laid elsewhere. He had no idea where but figured why not get in shape with this CrossFit thing. As he made the connection to coaching CrossFit and his need to create beautiful things, Lando dove into the field of personal training and CrossFit coaching. He considers CrossFit the best thing to happen to his life because not only did it give him a new calling in life and give him a new level of fitness personally, but it lead him to meeting his fiancee Sarah, a fellow crossfitter and coach.

Stacey Kroon: Coach/The Enforcer
Stacey Kroon wasn’t born. She was created. In a likeness that mirrors the entire Spartan army in the movie The 300, Kroon is one of those people that you realize operates on a different level. The beauty of Stacey Kroon is her ability to make anyone and everyone she works with not only feel comfortable but as if they have been good friends for years. You will not find a better coach in any sport.
Excelling in athletic competition is as second nature to Stacey as breathing is to the rest of us. She was a three sport athlete in college and a competitive gymnast her entire life. After college she got into CrossFit and finished 9th in the 2009 CrossFit Games making her the 9th fittest woman in the world. As the sport evolved into a much larger and more difficult competition, Stacey decided she still was one of the best, finishing 4th in the Northeast Region in 2010. While many people in the sport considered the earlier Games to be easier to qualify for than the past 2 years, Stacey decided to prove most of those people wrong by not only finishing 2nd in the Northeast Region in 2011 and qualifying for the Games again but going on to finish 12th overall in the world. The 2011 season started with almost 12,000 women. That’s top .001% fittest woman in the world, for those who like statistics.
Despite her amazing ability and accolades Stacey is one of the most down to Earth athletes and coaches there is. She loves coaching morning classes (thank the lord) and working with beginner athletes and has been a favorite coach and trainer at every gym she has worked at. When not at CrossFit Lando Stacey can be found in Norwood, MA where she lives with her husband Matt and does anything but CrossFit.

Dennis Moriconi: Coach/The Nice Guy
Dennis is a home grown boy growing up in Medford, MA. He was an athlete most of his young life, playing football and baseball, and running the 200 and 400 in Track and Field while in high school. While attending Curry College he interned at CrossFit Fenway where his relationship with Aaron and Stacey started 3 years ago. Once out of school he continued CrossFit and has coached youth baseball, and worked as a strength and conditioning coach at the Woburn Boys and Girls Club.
Dennis is of those dudes who has never been in a bad mood, or at least is really good at hiding it. His positive attitude is so infectious it almost makes you want to fight him, then you realize he’s the nicest person in the world and you better step your game up in the attitude department or he’s going to make you look bad.
Every time Dennis sets foot in the gym he is trying to learn which is invaluable as both an athlete and coach. Other than being the nicest guy in the gym his specialty is working with kids as he helped start the CrossFit Kids program at CrossFit Boston and hopes to keep working with kids with CrossFit in the future.

Flavio Brito: Coach/The Comedian
Flav is the guy in the room who will be the first to give you the warmest welcome, the biggest hug, the best handshake when you walk in. Then if you step out of line he will be the first one to put you in a choke hold and make you cry. Flav has fought 17 MMA fights since 2010 and is a coach and trains out of Boston Muay Thai Acadmy . He found CrossFit through his love of fitness and has been a part of CrossFit Lando almost from the beginning.
His attitude and joy for life is literally impossible to avoid as you can’t miss his Ninja Turtle and Penguin tattoos on his forearms, but he brings an enthusiasm and joy for coaching and learning that spreads through his classes. He can do it all: teach you the arm bar, coach you through the “Fran”, and sling you a great glass of Cabernet at The Florentine Restaurant in Boston’s North End.
The Flav-man is CrossFit L1 certified.
Jack Martin: Coach/The Kid
Jack might as well be called The Rat because you can’t get him out of the gym. When most 16 and 17 year old kids were worried about being a who’s who or what party to try and sneak out to, Jack was lifting weights and watching CrossFit videos. This lead him to The Program and CrossFit Lando. He started training with a coach and teacher at his school, North Middlesex HS in Townsend, MA, and hasn’t looked back since. Jack credits his developing from a twig like 16 year old kid to the physical specimen he is now to his coach Chris Stellato and his mentors at CrossFit Lando.
The J-Man currently is a Freshman at Fitchburg State College majoring in Exercise Science and runs the swiftest deli counter ever at Hannaford in Townsend, MA. He is L1 Certified.
Darin Bibeau: Co-Owner/The General
Darin took the hint from some of his old friends when they kept telling him about this new CrossFit thing. He has been hooked since July 2011. Darin is one of those people who you meet and instantly are drawn to. He is also one of those people that you learn about and makes you wonder what the hell you have been doing with your own life.
Bibeau spent 8 years active duty in the US Coast Guard where he specialized in Search and Rescue and Tactical LE. He was part of a Special Operations Unit Taclet South Miami (LEDET 401) leading operations in South and Central America. Darin was also part of the 9/11 Guarding Liberty Anti-Terrorist Task Force Team as well as the Anti-Narcotics Team and was responsible for what was at the time the 5th biggest drug bust in the world. After his time in the Coast Guard he spent 3 years as a Commander for the US State Department Special Operations Group, leading operations in South East Asia specializing in restoring civil order in chaotic war torn countries. You can pick your jaws up off the floor now.
Darin is an avid sportsman. As if there needed to be any more accomplishments to his list to make him more legit, Darin recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. He credits the strength and conditioning he gained from CrossFit (his only training for the climb) for allowing him to be the first to summit in his team and stay at the peak for the longest period of time in K2 history. Aside from climbing he has been a competitive hockey player most of his life. He played college hockey and still travels the globe playing with US based teams, most recently in Lithuania and Iceland. He loves to travel, loves the outdoors, loves all kinds of animals, and loves spending time with his wife Johnica.
